Flash Floods in Havasupai Area Lead to Evacuations

Campers have fled Havasupai Campground and will be helicoptered out of the Grand Canyon, reports say.

Flash flooding in the Havasupai Area of the Grand Canyon last night led to an evacuation of Havasupai Campground, on-the-ground reports say. Campers will reportedly be helicoptered out of the canyon from the village of Supai; trails from Hilltop into the area are closed.
