Northern AZ National Forests Under Stage II Fire Restrictions Starting Friday

The Prescott, Coconino, and part of the Kaibab National Forests are toughening fire rules in response to high-risk conditions.

Starting this Friday, the Prescott and Coconino National Forests, and the South Kaibab portion of the Kaibab National Forest, will enact Stage II fire restrictions in response to high wildfire danger. The restrictions ban campfires, including in developed fire rings, as well as outdoor smoking and operating some machinery.
