Fire Restrictions Begin in National Forests

Hot, dry, and windy weather means one thing for Arizona’s popular public lands: high risk of wildfire. To prevent blazes before they start, the Prescott National Forest and sections of the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest have enacted Stage 1 fire restrictions, which prohibit or carefully limit campfires, smoking, and shooting guns.
