Authorities confirmed the death of 38-year-old Daniella Flanagan of Savannah, Georgia, after she slipped and fell while walking off-trail on a waterfall at High Falls State Park on May 26. The tragedy serves as a reminder to be extra-careful around water features, as high flows, slippery rocks, and cold water all pose significant risks to hikers.
