Man Drowns in Sequoia NP River

The death, in the park's Middle Fork of the Kaweah River, is the first river-related fatality of the season.

A 36-year-old man was swept to his death in Sequoia National Park’s Middle Fork of the Kaweah River last weekend. Though it’s unclear if he entered the water voluntarily or fell in, park officials issued a warning for people to steer clear of the swift, dangerous park waters.
