Yosemite National Park’s famous “firefall,” a trick of the winter light that makes Horsetail Fall look like a glowing lava flow, might not occur this year thanks to California’s drought. The park reported no water in the fall as of last weekend.
California is on track to plunge back into drought conditions, less than one year after lifting a state of emergency caused by a lack of moisture.
