The opening of the Dolly Copp Campground in the White Mountain National Forest has been delayed until late June due to ongoing construction. Officials say they are focusing on the south half of the campground to prepare it for safe public camping. The south half will have water and electric hookups at 20 campsites, five new restroom buildings (two with showers), reconstructed roads, and new underground water and electrical systems. The north half is expected to remain closed for the summer to allow for construction, with the exception of the main road. More information will be made available as construction progresses.
