Desoto Falls – canyon rim overlook
This short hike is a lesser used approach to view Desoto Falls from the canyon rim. Views of the falls and river are beautiful.

A short hike along the canyon rim takes you to an overlook point with a panoramic perspective of the falls and pool below. This view is especially beautiful in the fall. Along the way you’ll see moss and lichen, huge boulder, views of the canyon and river below.
Directions to the trail head:
From Downtown Mentone, Al head South on AL Hwy 89, turn left on Dekalb County road 613. Go one half mile and park on the side of the road in a small parking area.
