According to a new documentary about Stephen King’s horror film, “Pet Sematary,” a root-covered section of Deer Brook Trail, in Acadia National Park, was once ideal for a particularly frightening hike to the cemetery in question. No more: According to the blog Acadia on my Mind, the tree roots have been replaced by a 13-step wooden stairway, part of a larger rehab of the trail.
