Cyclists and pedestrians at the intersection of Logan Boulevard and Western Avenue in Chicago have a lot stacked against them: heavy traffic, road bends, obstructed sightlines, and highway on-ramps. So the Active Transportation Alliance is working with several local groups to study solutions that will make travel safer for non-drivers. Early ideas include a new stoplight and more noticeable bike lanes.
