Crews Clearing Out Homeless Camp on South Platte River Trail

Adams County asked Xcel Energy to clear its riverfront land between I-270 and I-76.

This week crews from Xcel Energy began clearing out a large homeless camp along its land on the South Platte River Trail between I-270 and I-76 in Adams County. The area’s residents were warned they’d have to leave as workers cleaned up mounds of trash. The move came as part of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control Project.
