Last week, Chicago Park District officials presented changes to the plan to merge and redesign Jackson and South Shore Parks golf courses, including adding a lake and more natural acreage. The changes stemmed from community meetings. Some community groups still criticized the plans, citing worries about preserving the park’s nature sanctuary and trees.Â
