A cougar with two kittens killed a horse for food last month at Spanish Creek near Quincy and the Plumas National Forest, biologists reported. Officials say they don’t plan to relocate the big cat, in part because trapping it and its two offspring would be very difficult. This kind of horse predation is very rare, they added.
