Colorado Kid Breaks Record for Youngest Triple Crown Hiker
Nine-year-old Christian "Buddy Backpacker" Thomas completed the Continental Divide Trail this year to claim the title.

Ticking off the Triple Crown of hiking–that is, finishing the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, and Continental Divide Trails–is a huge accomplishment for anyone. So 9-year-old Christian “Buddy Backpacker” Thomas becoming the youngest person to do so is extra-impressive. Thomas hiked the AT at 5, PCT at 6, and wrapped up the CDT this year to claim the title.
