Boy Scout Leader Dies on Troop Hike

Marin County Boy Scout leader Michael Kan, 49, died of a heart attack last weekend after leading a group of scouts on a conditioning hike in 98-degree weather in Lucas Valley Open Space. Heat exhaustion appears to have contributed to his death.
