Boulder's Gear Companies Excited about Trade Show Merger

Local outdoor brands say they'll save time and money now that two of the industry's biggest trade shows are joining forces in Denver.

First, Emerald Expositions, which puts on the outdoor industry trade show called Outdoor Retailer, announced it was buying the Snowsports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show, an annual winter gear trade show held in Denver. Then, word came that a combination event, the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show, will be held next January, also in Denver. All that merging is sitting just fine with Colorado’s outdoor gear brands, which say they relish the idea of attending the all-in-one show and cutting back on travel.
