Elusive Bobcat Kitten Rescued by Sausalito Hiker
Rarely seen by humans, a solo four-week-old bobcat kitten was found on a trail near Sausalito.

A Sausalito hiker rescued a tiny bobcat kitten, wrapping it in a sweatshirt and carrying it to the nearest ranger station. After transfer to the wildlife hospital WildCare, the kitten was examined and found to be healthy—other than dehydration and typical fleas and ticks. It ate “a hearty meal of minced mice” and will stay in safe custody until late October or November.
