Bird, Fleeing Fires, Turn Up in Bay Area Backyards

Though you might now see any rare birds, in you live in the Bay Area, you will probably see more vireos, morning doves, lesser goldfinch, and scrub jays than usual. After surviving the initial fire, many of them are trying to escape the thick smoke that can suffocate their delicate lungs.
