The birding scene in coastal Georgia has changed over the past 10 years or so, writes one Savannah birder. While American goldfinches were once abundant in November and December, they first started arriving later in the season, then sticking to farther northern regions entirely. But Baltimore orioles, once unusual, have begun to overwinter in the area.
