Beware Bike Muggers on the 606, Police Warn
Armed robbers have attacked cyclists on the Bloomingdale Trail several times this month.

Armed muggers have pushed cyclists off their bikes and robbed them on several occasions in July on the west end of the Bloomingdale Trail, part of the 606 park system, Chicago Police warned last weekend. In the last incident, the muggers beat the victim. Two of the assaults happened when the trail was closed; officially, the path is open from 6 am to 11 pm.Â
