With temperatures rising, New Hampshire Fish and Game is warning homeowners to keep their yards free of potential food sources for bears, from garbage to bird seed to pet food. An average of 600 human-bear conflicts occur in New Hampshire every year, and since 2006, the state has prohibited people from feeding the animals, including by mistake.
