When Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials tried to remove a mother bear and her two cubs from a residential neighborhood in Colorado Springs, they didn’t count on her climbing higher before the tranquilizer took effect. Once it knocked her out, she fell, and didn’t survive. The cubs will be taken to a rehabilitation facility.
