Bear that Attacked Teen Trapped and Killed

Wildlife officials captured the black bear in the same campground where a 19-year-old was dragged from his tent last week.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials went looking for the black bear that attacked a sleeping camp counselor in the Glacier View Ranch campground last week–and believe they found it. A 280-pound male black bear was trapped near the campground Monday and then euthanized; officials are hoping autopsy results will help explain the reason behind the rare attack.
