The 5-year-old girl is in good condition after a black bear tried to drag her out of her yard.

A black bear attacked a 5-year-old girl in East Orchard Mesa last weekend, attempting to drag her out of her yard. The girl’s mother scared the bear away; the girl is in good condition. Wildlife officials are tracking the black bear responsible.
