The ambitious Bay Trail project to build a 500-mile path around the San Francisco Bay shore is getting a little closer to completion with the construction of a $13.2 million bridge over railroad tracks in Pinole. The East Bay Park District worked for decades to advance the project, which connects two public spaces and grants access to a difficult stretch of Contra Costa County coast.
