Appalachian Trail Conservancy Names New President

Starting next month, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy will be led by Suzanne Dixon, former senior director of the National Parks Conservation Association. The ATC, a volunteer group which manages the Appalachian Trail, boasts 42,000 members, more than 6,500 volunteers, and a $9.36 million budget.
