Mountain Rescue Aspen Member Killed in Avalanche

A member of the Mountain Rescue Aspen crew was killed in an avalanche last weekend while backcountry skiing outside Aspen Highlands ski area. Two skiers were climbing near Maroon Bowl when the snow slid; one survived, but the other died from injuries after being swept through trees.
