Amendment Would Dedicate Gear Sales Tax to Conservation

A recent measure introduced to state lawmakers would constitutionally set aside a portion of sales tax from outdoor gear for conservation and public land maintenance in Georgia–an estimated $40 million per year. If approved by the legislature, the measure will go to voters in November.
