A collection of agencies including New Hampshire Fish and Game, Jaffrey and Troy Fire and Rescue, the Peterborough Fire Department and mountain patrol rangers rescued a Texas man from Mount Monadnock June 22. The 20-year-old man experienced severe cramping while descending with a friend on the steep Spellman Trail. The rescue required belaying equipment to safely lower the man over some steep, rocky sections.
