Rangers and friends gathered to send retiring Acadia National Park Superintendent Charlie Jacobi out in style this month. Jacobi, who held the park’s top spot since 1984, was known for analyzing visitation stats and implementing Ridge Runner and Leave No Trace programs in the park. He leaves as the Trump administration is proposing a reduction in national park staff.
