One Match, One Fire: Make a Kindling Bouquet

1. Gather twigs of similar lengths, and no thicker than a pencil.
2. Hold the wider ends in one hand as you would a bouquet, with the wire-thin tips where the blooms would be.
3. Once your bundle fills one hand, pack the twig-ends (the “blooms”) with tinder.
4. Invert the bouquet and place it in your fire pit, so it forms a teepee. Wiggle it, if necessary, so it stands.
5. Light from the bottom.
