'Wild' Stars to Reunite in New Cheryl Strayed Series

Wild stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern will team up for a new HBO series based on Cheryl Strayed’s advice column Dear Sugar. Strayed and her husband, filmmaker Brian Lindstrom are set to write Tiny Beautiful Things with executive production help from the actresses. Strayed no longer publishes the column, though it lives on as a biweekly podcast hosted by Strayed and Steve Almond.
Witherspoon played Strayed and Dern played her mother in 2011’s Wild, which adapted Strayed’s memoir of loss and self-discovery on the Pacific Crest Trail.
