How’s this for a Black Friday deal? Inspired in part by REI’s viral #OptOutside campaign, state and national parks around the country are offering free admission, camping, and other perks on Black Friday this year. Below is a list of the parks that will be participating on November 27 in some way or another.
Arizona
Visit any of four Arizona REI locations between Saturday, Nov. 21 and Wednesday, Nov. 25 and get a free day pass for entry at one of the state parks.
California
Forty-nine state parks are offering free admission on Black Friday, but the number of passes is limited–Â download a pass online beforehand.
The East Bay Regional Park District is waiving fees on Black Friday at all of its 65 parks.
Colorado
All state parks will be free.
Delaware
All state parks will be free.
Minnesota
All state parks will be free.
Missouri
Missouri already offers free admission to its state parks year round, but it will waive camping fees.
Oregon
State parks will offer free parking (usually a $5 day-use parking fee)
Tennessee
Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be free, and all 56 state parks will offer free guided hikes.
Washington
Olympic and Mount Rainier national parks will be free.
