Step Away From The Bison

It can’t be said enough times, people: As soft and furry as they look, bison turn into one-ton, human-crushing beasts when they get annoyed. Also, they’ve got righteous horns.Â
One 55-year-old tourist in Yellowstone learned this the hard way when he got within 10 feet of a bison for a photo yesterday morning. The papparazzi-hating bovine charged the foolish dude and gored him in the upper left thigh, puncturing his leg. The man was flown to a hospital in Jackson to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, doctors say.
Yellowstone National Park requires visitors to stay at least 25 yards from bison; it’s pretty clear who crossed the line here. If you’re still not convinced getting close to a bison is a bad idea, watch this (again):
