As a big fan of Pyramid Brewery’s Audacious Apricot Ale, I don’t need much of a reason to like them any more than I already do. But lo and behold, they’ve found another way to crawl to the top of my most-favored grogmakers list: They’ve launched a drool-worthy giveaway for winter warriors everywhere.
Pyramid’s Steep And Deep Sweepstakes will send one lucky winner and three of his or her very, very best friends to Squaw Valley in Tahoe for five days of skiing, lodging, guided backcountry Snowcat trips, and lift tickets (airfare included). Still schussing in Uncle Fausto’s neon one-piece ski suit? Pyramid’s got you covered there, too, as they’re also tossing in a bunch of Mountain Hardwear technical outerwear and a custom Pyramid Brewery K2 snowboard.
(Nonwinners in the market for new winter gear/skis can check out our Fall/Winter Gear Guide for helpful suggestions.)
Five 2nd-place winners get custom Pyramid Breweries boards, and 25 3rd-place finishers get “custom Pyramid Gear” (probably a t-shirt).
They don’t mention anything about skis, which is weird. But if a skier wins, I bet he or she can con the boys and girls of Pyramid into getting K2 skis instead—no way he or she’ll waste a snowcat day learning to ride. What say you, Pyramid?
