Biggest Effing Knife Ever

Thank you Bear Grylls for taking a break from relaxing poolside at 5 star resorts and drinking your own urine to create a new line of knives and multitools for Gerber. In addition to a badass full tang 5-inch survival knife ($60, 14.7 oz. with sheath), we have the Parang ($45, 25 oz. with sheath). I’ve tested tents that weigh less, but for some reason I still want one–jungle understory will quake in my presence. Here, PR impresario Mike May demonstrates one of its lesser-known uses: shaving.

Can Crusher

Why didn’t we think of this? JetBoil has a new line of stoves (stay tuned for full reviews once we get samples), but perhaps more impressive is this $5 tool. Screw it on a spent butane canister, and it will release any residual gas. Pry down to puncture the canister, then give it a good boot-stomp to crush it and, finally, throw it in the recycling bin. Done.
