Meet Tyler Bounds!
“My name is Tyler Bounds, and I am an avid backpacker, hiker, biker, paddler, climber, snowboarder, and all-around adventure seeker. I grew up in the foothills of Washington’s Cascade Mountains, and have spent most of my life here, excluding a 9-year stint in Alaska. I joined the Tester Team in a slightly unorthodox way- I made a Facebook page, singing the praises and extolling the virtues of my favorite Gear Editor in the world, Kristin Hostetter, and detailed how awesome I thought it would be to go hiking with her. Eventually someone at Backpacker sniffed it out, and they concocted a 3-stage contest for me. First, I get to test some gear. Second, I get some free swag. And Stage Three? I will get to go hiking with Kristin Hostetter! And now here I am, livin’ the dream!”
