Man Swept Into Yosemite Falls
The 22-year-old was carried several hundred feet down Middle Cascade before being rescued.

A 22-year-old hiker fell into Yosemite Falls and was swept several hundred feet downstream before being rescued.
The National Park Service announced Thursday that the incident took place last month on May 28th. Rangers received an emergency call from a group of backpackers near Middle Cascade who reported that their friend had fallen in while reaching for his sunglasses.
The hiker was swept through the 675-foot-high Middle Cascade, but eventually managed to climb onto a large boulder where he could await help.
The park dispatched a helicopter to assist with the rescue. The hiker was found to be mildly hypothermic, but declined further medical treatment.
