A speed glider did crash below Quandary Peak, but the five hikers aided SAR personnel in rescuing the man off the peak and getting him to a hospital.
Sadly true: A hiker really did hail a cab for rescue, and a climber had to cling to a cliff face with only his fingers for 6 hours before getting rescued. Ouch—killer grip, though.
