Exploring New Terrain

This past week took us to states that we’d never explored before – Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Our stop at the Eddie Bauer store in Oklahoma City’s Penn Square Mall was our fourth Eddie Bauer stop, and there was a great turnout for the presentation. At the stop we met a couple who, in just a month, will begin their journey to complete Spain’s Camino de Santiago in a motorized wheelchair. It’s great meeting people like these folks, who don’t let any barriers get in their way to live their adventure. We hope they have a great journey and can’t wait to hear back from them to see how it went.

After OKC, it was off to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the next tour stop. We arrived at Lewis & Clark Outfitters, and were thoroughly impressed with the store. It was over 18,000 square feet of outdoor gear paradise – complete with an indoor zip line. The turnout there was great as well – 75 people! We met a man who is planning to thru-hike the Appalachian trail next year (as long as his wife OK’s with it!) who came to get some insight into the gear he plans to carry. Count Kim and I as two people who hope his dream can become a reality soon.

This week will take us through Indianapolis and Cincinnati, where we’ll get to see our families (and our dogs!). We hope to see you at an event soon!

Happy hiking,

-Brian and Kim
