Here’s a trip that I guarantee will change your life and someone else’s: Climb Mt. Shasta and help a kid experience the outdoors. We’ve supported Big City Mountaineers for years with fundraising climbs because it works. You challenge yourself on an alpine adventure—yes, you might get out of your comfort zone—and the money you raise funds wilderness trips for under-served teens who get to go backpacking for the first time.
This year we’re going to California’s Mt. Shasta, one of my favorite peaks in the Lower 48. The 14,179-foot summit offers a classic big-mountain experience—steep snow slopes, glaciers, and views you’ll never forget. I’ve climbed it several times and can’t wait to get back. But this time I’m doing something new. I’m bringing my 13-year-old son. It will be his first mountaineering trip. Will you join us?
