A Wisconsin bear evidently skipped his D.A.R.E class.

On Thursday, between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. (well after cocktail hour we might add), a 1 1/2 year-old black bear made his way into a Hayward grocery store and went straight for the Hamm’s, once know for it’s known for its mascot, the Hamm’s Beer Bear.

According to witnesses, the 125-pound bear wandered through the automatic doors of Marketplace Foods & Liquor Depot and made his way to the beer aisle where he climbed atop a Hamm’s cooler, and relaxed for the next 75 minutes.

Thirty-five patrons were in the store at the time.

Unfortunately all happy hours must come to an end. The precocious lil’ guy was tranquilized and handed over to state Department of Natural Resources. That had to be one hell of a hangover.
