This type of news usually goes beyond the purview of the Daily Dirt, bet everyone loves celebrity babies, right? Bear Grylls, of the Discovery Channel’s Man vs. Wild fame, and his wife Shara just gave birth to a baby boy. That makes three kids for this wilderness semi-survivalist, adventurer, and TV star.
But that’s not all: They’ve decided to name their child Huckleberry. Yes, Huckleberry. As in Huckleberry Edward Jocelyne Grylls. Or Huckleberry Hound.
Wow. Maybe ol’ Bear took an unreported hit on the noggin during his brush with death in Antarctica, or perhaps he just felt like keeping up with other eccentric celebrity baby names. I suppose little Huck won’t have it so bad—he could’ve been named something like Odyssey, Shrike, or Kal-El.
I guess I’m just a tad disturbed by the naming connection between father and son. Doesn’t Bear realize bears love to eat Huckleberries? That’s just sick.
