Chill It

What we love: This spacious cooler (20 x 13.75 x 10.5 inches) is big enough for a long weekend, yet the flexible polyester walls smash down flat for easy storage between trips. It kept our fiesta fixings (complete with a dozen Corona longnecks) cool all weekend when temps topped 90°F, and the foam-reinforced bottom is tough enough to drag through gravel.

It has plentiful pockets for storing condiments and napkins, and the interior is easy to wipe clean. What we don’t love: There’s no drain for meltwater. $47; 2 lbs. 11 oz.; rei.com.
