Yes! Bears are not picky. They’d be perfectly happy chowing on a stale Clif Bar or a tube of Colgate toothpaste. You don’t have to be cooking New York strip steaks to attract bears. Their sense of smell is acute and they aren’t picky when it comes to free grub. In bear country, you’ll sleep a whole lot better if you pack your edibles in either a bear-resistant canister or hang your food safely out of their reach.
