I have a burning sensation in the soles of my feet when I am long-distance hiking, but no blisters. Do you have a solution?

This is a tough one. Your question seems to infer you are okay hiking short distances and on non-hiking days. Regular or persistent foot burning would make me think of nerve injury, diabetes, or some infection, but if the discomfort is only on long hikes, these ideas are less likely. So then I think it could be the foot environment or tolerance for the activity. Long hikes mean more pounding, sweating, and heating of the feet in the boots. Changing the type of socks/boots/gaiters you wear or switching socks during the hike may be helpful. Good quality cushioned boots or OTC cushioned insoles would also not hurt and possibly help. Any smoking or uncontrolled diabetes or arteriosclerosis could affect foot circulation or nerves, so make sure your general health is good.
