The SEEKr is built for hop-turning on steeps, floating through powder, and weaving between tight trees. You can’t arc Mach-speed turns with them, but you won’t want to: “I’ve never milked a low-angle glade more than with these skis,” one editor says. “They’re so responsive and poppy that I was turning like an ’80s show-off.” The SEEKrs benefit from a lightweight carbon-and-wood construction and a unique shape: With just 2mm of camber underfoot and generous early rise in the tip, they’re easy to initiate and pivot on—the most responsive skis in our test.

THE DETAILS

Skis this playful tend to sacrifice stability, but that’s not quite the case with this one. G3 uses the same polyurethane sidewalls that earned the SEEKr’s cousin—the ROAMr—an Editors’ Choice Award last year. The PU damp- ens the ride enough for most terrain, but because of the meager camber profile, only strong skiers felt confident on choppy snow.

TRAIL CRED

“These ride way shorter than their length suggests,” said one tester after taking the SEEKr Elle for a spin in Crested Butte, Colorado. “They descend like fun—but more stable (and way less dorky)—snow blades.”
