Kristin Hostetter

Kristin Hostetter is the Head of Sustainability at Outside Interactive, Inc. and the resident sustainability columnist on Outside Online. Hostetter has worked as a journalist in the outdoor industry for 25+ years and has written four books on outdoor gear.

A passionate environmentalist, Hostetter co-founded the Plastic Impact Alliance, a coalition of outdoor businesses bent on solving the single-use plastic problem and in 2021 she was awarded Sustainability Champion of the Year at Outdoor Media Summit.
