Kenai Fjords National Park

Kenai Fjords National Park stretches across 600,000 acres of southern Alaskan wilderness and features Harding Icefield, the largest ice field in the United States. Much of the action in this icy part takes place on the water, where tour boats guide visitors around the calving ice. But camping in Kenai Fjords is a can't-miss experience, especially when its premier campground at Bear Glacier Lake is one of the best in the National Parks system. Off-trail hiking in Kenai Fjords is not recommended; the wilderness in this park really is just that.
