Missouri Trails

Missouri, located in the Midwest region of the U.S., is mostly comprised of prairie land dotted with rivers and streams.

In southern Missouri, the Ozark Plateau rises with hills and low mountains, while the Osage Plains in the west mix prairie land with dispersed woodlands. The St. Francois Mountains dominate the southeast region, where the state’s highest point, Taum Sauk Mountain (1,772 ft.), resides.
